Whatcha Working on Wednesday

Happy Wednesday, my friends!

I hope you've been enjoying the summer sunshine this week. We've been nothing short of delighted here. There's nothing quite so restorative as sun, warm-crisp air, and lots of outside time and fun. Finally!

And since it's Wednesday, here's what I've been working on:

Kindra's sign has found a home now that I've finished this GW window frame makeover. It was originally a light oak color with a mirror insert, but the mirror was in bad shape so I decided to remove it. It's redone with a buttermilk crackle finish, much like our mirror above the fireplace. The unfinished end table is next on the list. Just as soon as I decide on a color, that is. I don't know about you all, but sometimes I have to think about these things for a while...

And speaking of Kindra, I remembered this post when I came across these coasters at GW last week. They were a bit worn and dated, but they had potential -- especially for the bargain price of $.99. A little painting and primming did the trick -- along with a star or two.

Next up is a new wreath for the dining room. Nothing says summertime like flags, stars, bees, and watermelons.
It's fun and finished. Two very good things.

And last but not least, another GW bargain painted in a fun robin's egg blue -- with some sanding and staining to boot. I'm thinking that this little item will see a lot of use once I finish up the one project that didn't quite make the WWW deadline this week. I hope to share that one with you soon. It's something that Todd and I worked on together and I'm really excited about it.

Don't forget to pay Leslie a visit to see what every one has found time to work on this week. I'm off to make one last batch (or two!) of freezer jam with these beauties.

Have a wonderful evening! I hope you'll visit again soon...

I love those coasters and of course the ones that are blue, I'll have to keep an eye out for some of them.

The wreath looks great in your diningroom...did you paint your chairs black? They look great if you did, always look forward to your posts Colleen♥

Hi Colleen,

I love how your coasters turned out and that wreath is a really nice added Summer touch to the Dining Room. I can't wait to see the end table when it's done. And now you have me wondering on the item that you and hubby worked on. Can't wait to see :)))

Hi Colleen!

That weather was wonderful while it lasted huh? Today is so sticky - my hair is a frizzy mess. I am missing the dry air already!

Love the redo's. I had a cheeseboard like that when I got married - now I wish I kept it. And the window and coaster re-do's are great.

The wreath shouts SUMMER - in a fun waty. It's colors look great in the dining room.

Now I can't wait to see the end table finished. Thinking about it is a good thing. Saves a repainting job sometimes!

Have a wonderful weekend. Maybe we will get a day or two of sun if we are very very lucky!!

hugs, Linda

All your projects are fabulous, as usual. The wreath is just adorable and I like the window frame too.
I can't wait to see what project you've been working on with your dh.
Enjoy the summer sun while it lasts.

Colleen,
I love the wreath and all of the makeovers! :)

I may have that same window mirror. I never did anything to mine and it hangs over my dresser.

Love the coasters! I also saw Kindra's blog post and about a week later I bought a set for 25¢. I painted mine all sorts of Prim colors. I really love them but my only complaint is that I didn't wait for a set that came in a holder! LOL Now I'm on the hunt for a holder. They're in a little box right now but they don't all fit.

We're enjoying the sun and nice weather, too :)

Have a great day :)
